Fish Fingers


Fish fingers are one of the nation’s favourite ways of eating seafood and have been a family staple for years. They can be fried, grilled or baked and are great as the mainstay of a simple supper or can be made into extravagant sandwiches when placed in lightly toasted bread rolls with butter, tartar sauce and some lettuce. They were made particularly popular in the late 1960s when Captain Birdseye marketed them, changing their name from ‘herring savoury’
